Notes from a lesson

In this Media lesson (10/9/12) we began by naming some typical Thriller films, as our coursework is based around that genre. Below are some of the films we came up with.










We then went on to discuss typical aspects of Thrillers, the characters, themes and sub-genres involved with the broader genre of 'Thrillers'. Thriller Aspects

We went on to watch some clips from Thriller films, and take notes on certain aspects; lighting, sound, camera movements and editing.

We noticed that certain aspects of these examples were similar, such as the darkness of the setting, and the mix of long and short cuts, to portray the tension or excitement of that particular moment, so I think it would be a goo idea to use such aspects in our final coursework film.
